Christmas day buffet high tea sees essentials for the main spread like of roast beef of striploin and gratinated mussel with mornay sauce. There are also local delights on the menu such as lamb briyani, wok-fried prawn with salted egg yolk, fish tikka with cucumber raita, steamed red garoupa and vegetable roulade and crab ball with pineapple in sweet and sour sauce.

Action cooking stations showcases dishes prepared a-la-minute like hot soba noodle, lam mee, popiah basah. Do enjoy the variety of pastas, Japanese all-time favourite tempura and teppanyaki. Festive Buffet Dinner (December 24 & 25, 2008)

Pears are used in numerous desserts and in a variety of specialities like belle-helene. In France, this fruit is the third most popular fruit. Canned pears are generously used in November’s cake of the month. Dark chocolate which has been melted with gelatin are poured onto each layer of sponge cake. Pear cubes are placed onto top of the mousse and method is repeated. Once that is done, chill the cake for two hours. As the finishing touch, coat entire cake with chocolate glaze and decorate with pear halves.
